There was something wonderfully happy about most of this weekend. You could say it was the 70 degree weather, I suppose. But, there was something else that just made it a happy time.

Truthfully, it was a slightly productive weekend, but I didn't really do anything. Have you ever had days or weeks like that?

My alma mater built a new stadium. It is of the word marvelous. A facility that could fit right at home with a larger, more known university. Saturday was the opening game for the season. The first time the stadium had ever been used. It gave me a sense of pride when I wore my Austin Peay State University t-shirt and collected my ticket. Daniel's parents came to town, and we cheered on our team together. The Governors. 

Daniel and I have a back yard now. A backyard behind what we call Our Little Blue Cottage. It's a beautiful blue house right next to the apartment Daniel lived in last year. His old roommate, Travis, still lives there. Daniel's other old roommate from freshmen year, Conor, moved into the apartment with Travis. Which means that our two really, really good friends live right next to us. The fire pit and the hammock Daniel and I have provided excellent entertainment for us and our friends over the weekend. As did a croquet set we received as a wedding present.

We had good times with good people and good food.
