Summer of July

I did the most unlikely thing. I fell in love with a pitbull. I don't hate dogs. I'm deathly afraid of them. Not just pitbulls, but every dog. Especially big dogs. For whatever reason. But now I'm not...a couple of months ago, I met a Weimaraner. And, I did the the unlikely thing of really liking that dog. I've been telling Daniel that I want one. A big dog.
Fear conquered.
Dixie.
She is my cousin dog. She's an alligator-nosed pitbull. And, that dog, for whatever reason, ABSOLUTELY LOVES me. She's 10 month's old. I bought some treats for her, and I've taught her to "sit", "stay", and "lay down". He needs to be careful, because she may end up going home with me. Keith lives right up the street, and when I come home, she comes running down, tongue hanging out, to greet me. Every time.

I've been chosen to be the gonfalon carrier for my college. A gonfalon is a flag. Each college in the university has a gonfalon (like the College of Science and Mathematics, College of Nursing, College of Arts and Letters, etc). Each college chooses one student who has shown outstanding academic achievements to hold the gonfalon at graduation. The carrier is the first to enter, and leads the rest of the graduates to their seats. Pretty cool.

p.s. I'm a 21 year old female going to a One Direction concert in a month and I don't care what anyone thinks about it.

That dog is so cute! I am an animal-lover, so I am happy dogs are growing on you. I bet Keith's dog can sense that you are a lovely person. :)
