The Summer Solstice

I love summer.

Did you know that June 21st is the longest day of the year? It's the summer solstice. Every day after June 21st gets a little bit shorter until December 21st. Unless you live in the southern hemisphere, then it's opposite.

I just finished an online astronomy class for the summer. I have to complete my internship for the summer, then I graduate in August. August 8, 2014. I also got a job. I real, big-girl, professional job. My professional title will be "Systems Analyst." I degree in STEM has really paid off. Big time.

I also love mornings. I've had to get up early in the morning for my internship. I've been getting up an extra hour earlier to enjoy some down time. Drink a cup of coffee, lounge in bed, browse the internet. I never thought I was a morning person. Not since college anyways. Staying up late in the evening to do homework for several years can have that effect on you. But, I remember as a kid always being the first to fall asleep and the first to wake up.

I'm getting married just shy of four months. October 4, 2014. To a man I never thought I deserved. God has truly been good to me. In so many ways.
